The NDPC is directly responsible for embedding the SDGs into Ghana's key development plans (like the Coordinated Programme of Economic and Social Development Policies) and ensuring they are reflected in the plans of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).

The roles of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in Ghana are absolutely critical to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They are the primary machinery for localizing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the SDGs within the country.
